Plant Simulator Training
The OHOB Plant Simulator gives aspiring operatives a safe and realistic environment to develop the essential skills needed for plant operation. It provides a true-to-life experience that helps learners build confidence and competence before progressing to live machinery.
Why the Plant Simulator?
Offers a realistic, risk-free introduction to operating various types of plant machinery. Builds confidence, competence, and safety awareness for new entrants. Prepares learners for hands-on plant training at our dedicated facility.
The simulator is an ideal first step for anyone starting their journey in construction, helping learners gain the skills and understanding they need to progress safely and effectively into real-world plant operation.
Develop core skills and safety awareness in a controlled environment.
Train on realistic tasks and conditions that mirror modern sites.
Move from simulation to hands-on sessions with real machinery.
Plant Modules
At the OHOB Training Academy, learners progress from simulation to hands-on training with real machinery. Each module is designed to give practical experience, develop technical ability, and prepare learners for work on live construction sites.
360° Excavator

Using the simulator lets learners build strong coordination and safe habits before they ever climb into a cab. It’s ideal for practising smooth control, accuracy, and routine tasks without pressure, downtime, or risk. It also gives instructors a consistent way to spot bad habits early and tighten them up fast.
Tower Crane

The simulator is perfect for drilling the basics that usually cause incidents: awareness, positioning, loading discipline, and safe tipping. Learners can practise site routes, blind spots, reversing behaviour, and decision-making in a controlled environment before doing it live. It builds confidence without the “learn by nearly hitting something” approach.
Telescopic Forklift

Telehandlers combine lift safety, stability, and awareness, so early practice matters. The simulator helps learners understand load behaviour, visibility limits, and correct positioning without risking a dropped load or a near miss. It’s a strong way to rehearse routines and build judgement before moving onto real lifts.
Forward Tipping Dumper

Forward tipping dumpers can feel simple, which is exactly why people get complacent. The simulator helps learners practise safe approach angles, controlled tipping, and stability awareness in different site conditions. It reinforces steady driving, good observation, and the right habits before someone is working around open edges or uneven ground.
