This week at OHOBTA…

Kingston Cohort 2 Begins

This week sees the start of our second pre-employment programme at our site in Kingston Upon Thames. Running along side our partners Vistry & Kingston Council, we have 8 local individuals who we will be giving a crash course in construction. Parting with vital industry knowledge, offering accredited qualifications and readying them for their CITB test at the end of the course which will gain the their CSCS card. At the end of the course they will be ready to enter the construction industry. Good luck to all of those attending.

FOW North Kent

Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th we have been invited to the Future Of Work Event at Greenwich College, Medway Campus. We have a stool there where you can pick up information on the construction industry as well as what OHOB has to offer you in terms of employment and training. Targeting school & college students, teachers and NEETs, hear from many young employees about what these jobs are like, training and career prospects, and how work is changing with technology. Up to 24 speakers from different companies will deliver talks about technical and non-technical roles.

Training

This week at OHOBTA we have the following training scheduled – Cut Off Saw, Confined Space, Dumper, Roller, Cable Avoidance, Excavation Marshal, Slinger Signaller & New Roads and Street Works.
